National Stock Exchange (NSE) has released a ETF report for November, 2011. Gold ETFs had a lion share of 83.44% of the turnover in October, 2011.

The total transactions in the month of October, 11 was Rs 1962.44 crores whereas the gold etf turnover was Rs 1637.44 crores. The other assets for the Exchange Traded Funds were the money market, the equity market and the international equity market.

As per the report, the average return for Gold ETFs for the last 1 month/3 months is 5.75% and 17.25% respectively. Read more about Gold ETFs

Among 11 Gold ETFs the top 3 gold ETF contributed 90.52% of the total trading volumes during the month. The total trading volume for the month was ` 163743.57 lacs and the top 3 securities were GOLDBEES, KOTAKGOLD & RELGOLD.
